Plunge deeply and awake
In waters still albeit unknown
Stroke ever harder against the tide
Amidst a deluge of delirious delusion
Reticent refuse strewn cast away aside
Promise ever fleeting with daylight meeting
The dusk cloaked in shadow and doubt
Sunrise to the East setting to the West
Alive and awake deeply sleeping hearts

The Race
It is as they so oft say
No pain means no gain
Stretch your heart strings
Till they break and bleed
Tug hard at the cord
Of emotional exuberance
Till it spasms sorely
Well worn in the workout
Knotted muscles herniated
By soft twisted sighs
Strained pleasurably
In decadent delight
Keep pace in the place
Your heart desires most
This race is won not by the fast
But rather by the most determined

Some gifts you can easily exchange for money so their value is fleeting by nature
Some gifts are fleeting by nature which makes them all the more valuable
Like a smile, a hug, a child's laughter, and that come hither glance

But in truth it surely rang
Whilst so often lost in a plethora of words
It resonates loudly through the discord
Like snarls deftly knit into the fabrics of fate
But in truth it surely rang
Clear as a bell and smooth as glass
Easily seen if you are of a mind to see it
Mistaking it not for other than what it is

In the Hindsight of Tommorow
We are as we have always been
And will always be
What came before goes before
Like moths to an eternal flame
Consumed by our attractions
Engulfed by our passions
Scorched by our disbelief
Ignorant of the conflagration
Dust then settles at last
And with it the past
We are as we have always been
And will always be ever more
Evolving albeit unchanging
Hither to the constant rearranging
Some things remain the same
Some things seem the same
In the hindsight of tomorrow
